The Industry with MORE BABIES THAN IT CAN PROVIDE FOR.What Is the best web

I used this analogy the other time when i was talking to my wife in reference to the creative industry in Botswana. When creative institutions formed in the country there was such an excitement with how their students are going to change the media, advertising and arts in Botswana. Bare in mind at the time the industry was run by creatives who went to school abroad as well as self taught graphic designers, photographers, camera operators, teachers who went to creative schools and fine artist.
Over 2000 students were admitted into various creative courses and about 10% of jobs are provided after graduation to this lot. (These are just estimates but just to make a note i was a lecturer in Multimedia Design at the time). The point i am making is that; the industry only has a handful jobs for students but as of today institutions are still enrolling and graduating students while the industry is stagnant, flooding with self taught digital marketers, photographers, web developers, content creators, 90% of graduates are working jobs have nothing to do with their degree.

The question we should now ask is how do we make the babies provide for the parents(industry)?Because reality is that the parents are poor and will not be reach sooner than we think, but like every child we will always wish for rich parents like the neighbors.

Before i address this on my next post let’s hear your thoughts. #creative #botswana
